YOUR VISIT.
YOUR CHOICE.

Who we are

CTRL+C is a covers band based in Preston, Lancashire. We are responsible for the information we collect for band enquiries and our website analytics. For privacy questions, contact hello@ctrlc.band.

Optional analytics

We use Umami Cloud to understand visits, popular pages, referring websites and clicks on booking, social and video buttons. This helps us improve the website. Analytics only loads after you choose “Allow analytics”. Declining does not affect the website, videos or contact options.

Umami is cookieless, but processes technical information about visits, including browser and device information, approximate location and sessions. We do not add names, email addresses, enquiry messages or personal user IDs to analytics. We do not enable advertising tracking, session recordings or heatmaps.

We keep only the page path and recognised campaign labels from page URLs, and the referring website's origin. A booking-button click is a count of interest, not evidence that a message was sent.

We rely on your consent for optional analytics. You can withdraw it for future collection using “Analytics settings” in the footer. Our current free Umami plan retains analytics for up to six months. Umami's infrastructure includes the EU and US, so processing may take place outside the UK. See Umami's privacy policy for its processing and international transfer information.

Remembering your choice

We save your analytics choice in this browser's local storage for up to 180 days. This preference is only used to remember your decision. If storage is blocked or cleared, we may ask again. Each browser and domain has its own preference. We also respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals by keeping analytics off.

YouTube videos

Video posters are hosted on this website. YouTube's player only loads when you press play. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed mode, but playing a video connects your browser to Google/YouTube, which may use cookies or other storage and process connection and viewing information. This is separate from your Umami analytics choice. Read Google's privacy policy for details.

When you contact us

WhatsApp and email buttons open a draft in your chosen service. The website does not send it or receive the information you type. Once you send a message, the band receives the details you choose to provide and uses them to reply, prepare a quote and arrange any booking.

We use booking information to take steps you request before a contract and to fulfil bookings. For other questions, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact the band. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to handle the enquiry, any resulting booking and applicable record-keeping obligations. Ask us if you want to discuss the information we hold.

Other services

Hosting providers process technical connection information to deliver and protect the website. Social links and booking-platform buttons take you to external services. Their privacy policies apply when you use them, including WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, GigPig and GigRealm.

Your rights and questions

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing or request a portable copy. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact hello@ctrlc.band. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office.
